Technical Realization of the BreedFides Portal

The BreedFides Data Portal is the central platform for establishing and operating a trustworthy data ecosystem in plant breeding. It builds upon the conceptual and methodological foundations developed in the predecessor project BreedFides and is being further advanced and scientifically expanded within the research project DRIVE (Data-driven and genome-edited breeding of locally adapted wheat varieties to enhance agricultural biodiversity, sustainable climate resilience, and resource efficiency). The name BreedFides has been intentionally retained, as it was established during the initial project phase and reflects the continuity of the initiative’s conceptual framework.

Within the framework of DRIVE, the platform was technically redesigned and newly implemented to establish a robust foundation for sustainable operation and long-term scientific use. The portal supports the structured, secure, and traceable provision and utilization of breeding-relevant data, digital tools, and project-related information.

The **technical realization and continuous development **of the portal are carried out by infotraX. infotraX develops digital platforms and specialized applications for complex processes in research, administration, and organizational environments. Project management for implementation, operation, and further development is led by Stephanie Sarach-Reuber.
