Welcome to the BreedFides Data Portal

The BreedFides Data Portal is the central platform for establishing and operating a trustworthy data ecosystem in plant breeding. It builds upon the conceptual and methodological foundations developed in the predecessor project BreedFides and is being further advanced and scientifically expanded within the research project DRIVE (Data-driven and genome-edited breeding of locally adapted wheat varieties to enhance agricultural biodiversity, sustainable climate resilience, and resource efficiency). The name BreedFides has been intentionally retained, as it was established during the initial project phase and reflects the continuity of the initiative’s conceptual framework.

Its goal is to make breeding-relevant data, digital tools, and knowledge securely, efficiently, and collaboratively accessible. BreedFides connects stakeholders from research, industry, and practice – with the ambition to strengthen the innovative capacity of plant breeding in the long term.
